During operation, electro-pneumatic transducers (i/p transducers) are subject to natural ageing, contamination and mechanical stress. Regular verification is required to ensure accurate conversion over the long term.
With the RT 305.04 Current-to-pressure converter, a DC signal is converted into a pneumatic measurement and control signal. Compressed air is required as an auxiliary power source to produce a proportional pneumatic output signal.
RT 305.04 is connected pneumatically and electrically to the RT 304 calibration trainer. The electrical input signal is set via an industrial controller from RT 304. The supply pressure is set via a precision pressure regulator from RT 304.
For the verification of the pneumatic output signal, the RT 305.04 is connected to a pressure gauge from the RT 304. The zero point and the span of the RT 305.04 are set via potentiometers. The input and output signals are compared and corrected if necessary.
