The tachometer is an optional accessory for speed measurement for the HM 150.19 Pelton turbine and the HM 150.20 Francis turbine.
The speed is measured contactlessly using the hand-held unit. A reflecting surface is attached to one of the moving parts of the turbine. A sensor in the measuring device optically detects the light/dark contrast and records the speed, which is displayed digitally.
