The main function of the WL 315.02 steam generator is to provide steam for experiments with WL 315.01 (Shell & tube heat exchanger steam/water) and ET 805.50 (Determination of vapour content). The steam generator contains an evaporator with two electric radiators and water level control. A feedwater tank with pump supplies the evaporator. Another tank with submersible pump supplies fresh water.
A pressure controller controls the electric heaters. The water level in the feedwater tank is measured by a sensor. The short heating-up time until the steam is released enables complex experiments in a short period of time. Extensive safety equipment ensures safe operation.
The steam generator is supplied fully equipped and ready to be connected. The function is fully automatic. The steam generator is type tested and does not require specific permissions.
