Electric motor-driven control valves are exposed to natural ageing, contamination and mechanical stress during operation. Regular verification is required to ensure the precise control of the control valve’s position in the long term.
The control valve consists of a straight-way valve, a force-fit electric motor-driven actuator and a control unit.
The RT 305.06 electric control valve is mounted on the bracket of the RT 304 calibration stand and connected to the power supply via the control unit. It is controlled via the control unit. The actuator is equipped with a resistance transmitter.
The position of the control valve is detected via the electric resistance of the actuator’s transmitter.
For verification, the end positions and various positions of the control valve are approached. The electric resistance of the remote sensor is measured and compared with the stroke displayed on the actuator’s scale.
