The pitotstatic tube HM 160.50 is used to measure the flow velocity in the experimental flume HM 160. It measures the static pressure and the total pressure at any point of the flow. Twin tube manometers indicate both pressures. The pressure difference corresponds to the dynamic pressure, from which the flow velocity can be calculated.
The pitotstatic tube and the twin tube manometers are mounted on a carrier. The carrier can be placed upon and fixed to any position of the experimental section. The pitotstatic tube can be moved vertically. A scale indicates the corresponding vertical position of the measurement.
